He acted in UK regional theatre for several years after leaving the Royal Central School and subsequently played many leading parts in London’s West End. James became an American citizen 25 years ago and has since lived and worked in Los Angeles and in NYC as an actor and director. He is now based in the Berkshires MA and has directed productions at Shakespeare & Company, Chester Theatre, Great Barrington Public Theatre, Berkshire Theater Group and The Majestic Theatre in West Springfield. And still looks weeks younger than he is…
James will be offering two masterclasses in the Art of Acting: one for teens aged 13–20 and one for adults aged 21 and over. These classes will be available on August 4 and August 6, respectively. The sessions will give performers the opportunity to receive personalized feedback and to observe feedback given to others, creating an engaging, immersive learning experience for burgeoning actors and actresses.
Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
