BMS Outreach and Community Programs

Berkshire Music School’s active outreach program brings musical enrichment to underserved students throughout the community during in-school and after-school courses, offered both in-person and online.  Our teaching artists also work closely with senior centers, libraries, museums, and other community organizations in order to provide concerts, interactive workshops, small group lessons, and more. Contact Outreach Coordinator Sherri James Buxton at 413-442-1411 ext. 13 for more information.

These programs are supported in part by grants from the Cultural Council of Northern Berkshires, Alford- Egremont, Becket, New Marlborough, Dalton, Hinsdale-Peru, Great Barrington, Sheffield, Stockbridge, Washington, Richmond and Lee Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Support is also provided from the Central Fund, William J. and Margery S. Barrett Fund, Adams Cheshire Educational Partnership Fund, Williamstown Educational Endowment Fund, Richmond Educational Enrichment Fund, and the Seven Towns Fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, as well as the Greylock Federal Credit Union.
